Why Reiki, Meditation, & Yoga?

Reiki means “universal life force energy”- the power of the universe that supports every living thing. The purpose of Reiki is to increase the flow of this energy. Benefits of the increased energy flow are pain relief, stress reduction, increased joy, increased creativity, expanded intuition as well as healing of both acute and chronic conditions and increased ability to fulfill one’s potential.

Meditation has many health benefits. Clinical studies have proven meditation assist people with stress, anxiety, depression, and pain.  Meditation is something everyone can do to improve their mental, physical, and emotional health. Meditation can be done anywhere, no equipment needed. Alternatively, meditation courses and support groups are hugely beneficial. There is a great variety of styles, each with different strengths and benefits. Trying out a style of mediation suited to your goals is a great way to improve your quality of life, even if you only have a few minutes to do it each day.

Yoga, an ancient philosophy of life, has become increasingly popular in today's busy society. For many people, yoga provides a retreat from their chaotic and busy lives. Yoga has been studied clinically for decades and has proven to reduce stress, anxiety, and inflammation. Yoga protects us from injury, and improves flexibility while toning and strengthening muscles and ligaments.
