Reiki: The Highest Good Conspiracy
Reiki means “universal life force energy”- the power of the universe that supports every living thing. The purpose of Reiki is to increase the flow of this energy. In November, 2017 I took Reiki Level I. The course covered the benefits and uses of Reiki, the history and origin of Reiki, as well as instruction on using Reiki for myself and others. The class was highly experiential and included four individual energy initiations done by the Reiki Master teaching the class.
The course was taught in four sessions, over 3 or 4 days, for a total of 12 class hours.
Upon completion of the course I received my certificate as a First Degree Reiki Practitioner, and will be using the Reiki energy for myself and others for the rest of my life. Now, fast forward to August, 2019 and I am on the path to becoming a Reiki Master myself, and getting ready to host the 5th class in Groveland next week! (August 22nd -25th)
Since I began practicing yoga I knew, because I could feel that there was something energetically happening. In yoga we call the life force energy “Prana” (the source of our vital life force) and the practice of working with this energy is called “Pranayama”. This is very a very focused and intentional practice. Pranayama when combined with Asana (poses) can move energy. I had heard about Reiki, from a friend that practiced a less traditional form of Reiki energy healing, but I was skeptical to say the least. How could putting hands on someone or myself help with anything?
It wasn’t until a few years later that a dear friend of mine had a problem with his horse. He thought it was Pigeon Fever. There was a swollen lump on the horses chest. It was the size of a softball, and hot. My friend had been giving lessons to a little girl whose mother was a Reiki practitioner. In exchange for teaching her little girl how to ride the women with Reiki offered to do a treatment on my friends horse. The surprising thing to my friend was how is horse leaned into the hands of the woman doing Reiki on it. The next day the lump was diminished by half, and no longer hot. By the fourth treatment the lump was gone. After this experience, my friend and I began to seek a Master to initiate us both into the world of Reiki energy healing.
I have used Reiki to help a broken flower, help my kids get to sleep, and I’ve even used it to bring back a dead baby chicken. My self treatments help me deepen my connection to the energy where I am more able to access it throughout my day. It seems to stay with me longer. Besides the physical healing aspect of Reiki there is an emotional, and spiritual healing element. I trust my decisions more because I trust the Universal conspiracy theory. I know that the energy will only serve what is in the highest good for all. Every moment since I have been initiated into Reiki has been pure magic. If your life does not feel like magic, please consider enrolling in the upcoming Groveland, CA Reiki Level I class. There is no way to intellectualize what you will experience through the process but be prepared to see your desires take form and be realized.

Groveland is just miles from Yosemite National Park, CA. The area is made of quartz, granite, gold, and miles of scenic mountains, rivers, and lakes. What a wonderful place to connect with the life force! I look forward to seeing you in class.
